Summer Celebrations and Industry Advancements

As summer is around the corner, our quarterly newsletter is out! This spring the Videometer team focused on innovative software enhancements, knowledge exchange, and notable developments in the industry through EU-supported projects!

We are pleased to announce the release of the newest VideometerLab Software, which brings a range of benefits to SeedLab users. One notable feature is the seamless integration of physical and digital seed tracking, facilitated by embedded barcodes that enable precise container identification for sorted samples. Furthermore, the latest update allows for the importation of externally measured data and classes, thereby enriching the digital seed information. Learn more about new enhancements that can be found in the latest software update.

At Videometer, we actively foster the exchange of expertise with industry professionals. In May, we had the privilege of participating in the ISTA Annual Meeting 2023, where our esteemed colleague, Jens Michael Carstensen, shared the latest developments in automated seed testing through spectral imaging. This valuable platform provided an opportunity to showcase the advancements made in this field. Additionally, Videometer welcomed two researchers as part of the EU-funded projects – TraceMyFish and DiTECT. The visit aimed at collaboration to improve quality monitoring in the FoodAg industry by exploring the capabilities of rapid, non-destructive spectral imaging technology as a method for testing and analyzing food samples. These promising initiatives hold great potential for further advancements in ensuring the safety and quality of food products.

Finally, in this summer newsletter edition, our clients, partners and Videometer friends are invited to join Videometer’s founder and CEO, Jens Michael Carstensen’s 60-year reception. We look forward to commemorating this milestone.
