Spring 2026: New Subscription Models for Automated Crop Analysis

Spring 2026: New Subscription Models for Automated Crop Analysis

One of the key updates is the launch of new subscription-based crop classification models, now available through the Videometer webshop. These ready-to-use models support automated classification and analysis of cereals, grains, and seeds, enabling laboratories, breeders, and agricultural producers to streamline crop analysis workflows without the need to build custom models from scratch.

Videometer will also participate in the ISTA ATC Workshop on Seed Image Analysis 2026, taking place 27–29 May 2026 in Rødvig, Denmark. During the workshop, Videometer’s CEO will present a lecture titled “Preserving Genetic Diversity by Multispectral Image Analyses,” exploring how multispectral imaging can support the preservation of genetic diversity through precise, non-destructive seed analysis.

Beyond agriculture, Videometer is contributing to the VISTACON Project, an initiative focused on developing technologies for more sustainable concrete production. Spectral imaging can help improve the analysis and monitoring of construction materials, supporting more efficient processes and reduced environmental impact.

The latest research highlighted by Videometer also demonstrates how multispectral imaging can reveal hidden physiological processes in plants. A new study published in Plant, Cell & Environment shows how spectral imaging helped researchers identify heat-producing tissues inside Magnolia flowers and investigate the biochemical mechanisms behind floral thermogenesis.

Finally, you are still able to join the series of upcoming webinars, covering topics such a in depth transformation algorithms, segmentation building, multispectral fluorescence imaging, and the Classifier Design Tool.

Together, these updates highlight our ongoing commitment to advancing spectral imaging technology and supporting innovation for our users in research, agriculture, and industry.
