At Hand Surface Analysis
The Videometer MultiRay is a hand-held imaging instrument designed for fast and accurate determination of µ-topography, graininess, gloss and porosity of material surfaces.
This instrument offers the possibility to integrate coaxial illumination with dark-field RGB light sources, and, optionally, with sub-surface laser scattering (SLS).
The Multiray Technology
The measurements are instantaneous and non-destructive. The instrument is an easy-to-use system integrating illumination, camera, and computer technology with advanced digital image analysis and statistics.
The technology is particularly useful for quantitative measurements of gloss- and texture-related properties and may also be combined with measurements related to size and shape distributions. Using LED technology Videometer MultiRay with SLS combines measurements of gloss and texture in a high-resolution image. Every pixel in the image relates to the local gloss/topography and the surface properties are summarized using statistical texture analysis. With the additional SLS technology, you can measure and characterize concentration and size distribution of air bubbles and constituents, viscosity, mouth feel and more.The Videometer MultiRay with SLS has excellent capabilities in measuring surfaces using a 20MPx camera. It can easily see height differences in textures.
