Winter Tales: Videometer’s December Newsletter 2024

As 2024 draws to a close, we’re excited to share our December newsletter, packed with highlights, achievements, and innovations that defined our year. Here’s a glimpse of what’s inside:

Celebrating 25 Years of Videometer
In April, Videometer celebrated its 25th anniversary with a four-day trip to Greece, engaging with partners, exploring local traditions, and strengthening team bonds. This small trip highlighted the community spirit that has shaped our journey and will continue to inspire us in the years to come.

Celebrating Growth with the Børsen Gazelle Award
This year, Videometer was honored with the Børsen Gazelle Award, placing us among 0.9% of Danish companies recognized for sustained development. This achievement reflects four consecutive years of positive growth and a doubling of our business during this period. We’re deeply grateful to our partners, clients, and team for making this milestone possible.

Introducing the Videometer SeedSorter
An enhancement for seed testing and laboratory workflows, the Videometer SeedSorter uses computer vision and AI to automate the sorting of seeds and other granular products. Designed with efficiency in mind, the SeedSorter streamlines laboratory workflows by reducing the need for manual sorting tasks and supporting accuracy and objectiveness in sorting. Learn more.

Revolutionizing Seed Testing with Spectral Imaging
Seed testing is evolving, thanks to pioneers like Janek Bartel from SGS. By integrating multispectral imaging and MRI scans into seed analysis, Janek is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. His work with Videometer engineers has led to new classifiers and advancements that make seed testing faster, non-invasive, and more precise.

Nematode Detection in Atlantic Cod with Spectral Imaging
Nematodes in fish fillets pose a major challenge for the seafood industry. Through the TraceMyFish project, PhD candidate Andrea Rakel Sigurðardóttir from the University of Iceland collaborated with Videometer to research the use of spectral imaging for automated nematode detection. This advancement ensures safer seafood while improving efficiency for seafood processors worldwide.

Season’s Greetings from the Videometer Team
As the holiday season approaches, we want to take a moment to thank our customers, partners, and friends for a remarkable 2024. This year has been a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation. We’re excited to continue progressing and working together as we move into 2025.
