Videometer SeedLab - Revolutionize Your Seed Analysis

Enhance your seed analysis with the Videometer SeedLab and the latest VideometerLab Software Release.
The new features make it easier than ever to keep track of your seeds – both physically and digitally.

The SeedLab is capable of detecting seeds, analyzing with spectral imaging technology and sorting them into different types of containers, such as microtiter plates, petri dishes, plastic cups and more. Each seed is classified based on its chemical and physical features and automatically sorted based on them.

Additionally, it is possible to embed a barcode in each digital seed, identifying the container the seeds were sorted into. For instance, if sorting into microtiter plates the well ID is also embedded in the digital seed, so to identify each seed based on its physical position in the plate.
This is particularly beneficial when wanting to identify a specific physical seed based on its digital twin or vice versa. For example, if measuring the normalized germination speed of seeds, researchers are interested in comparing the digital seed to the physical one, germinating physically.

Enhancing Traceability and Quality Control in the FoodAg Industry: DiTECT and TraceMyFish

This past May, two researchers joined us as part of EU-funded projects - TraceMyFish and DiTECT.
Lemonia Fengou, a Postdoc in Food Science from the Agricultural University of Athens, as part of the EU-funded DiTECT project, focused on investigating adulteration of cooked meat and exploring ways to enhance existing analysis techniques. Lemonia, as part of the TraceMyFish project, is studying the quality and shelf-life of gilt-head sea bream using fisheye analysis.

Andrea Rakel Sigurðardóttir, a Food Science Ph.D. student from the University of Iceland, focuses on fisheye analysis, particularly in estimating the shelf life of white fish. Their research shows promising results, advancing the food industry. Read more about their research and experience at Videometer premises.
