Automated Crop Analysis with Subscription Models

We are introducing a new range of standard classification models available through subscription on the Videometer webshop. These ready-to-use models enable automated classification and analysis of cereals, grains, and seeds, helping laboratories, breeders, and agricultural producers streamline their workflows.

Instead of building custom models from scratch, users can now access pre-developed, continuously maintained models designed specifically for common crop analysis tasks. This makes it easier to implement automated quality control and crop monitoring while reducing setup time and technical complexity.

By offering these models through a subscription format, customers can always work with up-to-date, validated models that support reliable and consistent analysis.

Join Us at the ISTA ATC Workshop on Seed Image Analysis

Videometer will participate in the upcoming ISTA ATC Workshop on Seed Image Analysis 2026, taking place 27–29 May 2026 in Rødvig, Denmark.

During the workshop, our CEO will give a lecture titled “Preserving Genetic Diversity by Multispectral Image Analyses.” The presentation will explore how multispectral imaging can support the preservation of genetic diversity by enabling precise, non-destructive analysis of seeds.

By providing detailed spectral insights into seed characteristics, the technology helps researchers and seed laboratories better characterize genetic variation and support more informed breeding and conservation strategies. If you are attending the workshop, we look forward to seeing you there.

Supporting Sustainable Concrete Production Through the VISTACON Project

Videometer is a participant in the VISTACON Project, an initiative focused on advancing technologies for more sustainable concrete production. The construction industry is under increasing pressure to reduce its environmental footprint, and improving material characterization is a key step toward more efficient and sustainable production processes.

Through the VISTACON project, Videometer’s spectral imaging technology will help enable better analysis, monitoring, and quality control of concrete materials throughout the production process. By providing detailed spectral insights into materials, our technology supports the development of smarter processes that can contribute to reducing waste and improving resource efficiency in construction.

How Multispectral Imaging Reveals Heat-Producing Tissues in Magnolia Flowers

A new scientific study, published in Plant, Cell & Environment, shows how the Videometer spectral imaging technology can help uncover hidden physiological processes inside plant tissues.

By combining spectral imaging with thermography and elemental mapping, researchers were able to non-destructively locate the heat-producing tissue inside Magnolia flowers and link it to calcium signalling and mitochondrial metabolism.
