From September 10th to 13th Videometer will be present at Booth 69 participate in the 22nd Brazilian Seed Congress in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.

The event brings together international seed industry professionals to discuss advancements in the sector, with a focus this year on "Seeds: The Raw Material of Sustainability." Videometer's CEO, Jens Michael Carstensen, CINO, Nette Schultz and our Brazilian Sales Partner , Thomas Michelon, will present the spectral imaging technology, which supports non-destructive analysis to ensure seed safety, quality, and conservation.

Meet us at Herning FoodTech 2024

Videometer is excited to announce our participation in the Herning FoodTech 2024 , Denmark, from October 1st to 3rd.

Here, we will be showcasing our spectral imaging solutions. Our team, including CEO Jens Michael Carstensen, Marketing Specialist, Alessia del Genio and Project Manager, Niels Christian Krieger Lassen, will be on hand to demonstrate the capabilities of our instruments.

Multispectral Imaging for Distinguishing Hybrid Forest Seeds

Conventional seed testing is labor-intensive and often destructive, preventing seed conservation. Seed companies seek new technologies for rapid, non-destructive testing. Spectral imaging offers an effective solution, eliminating labor-intensive tasks and preserving seeds.

Dr. Thomas Michelon studied the effectiveness of VideometerLab's Spectral Imaging technology for analyzing hybrid forest seeds, particularly Eucalyptus and Corymbia, which are difficult to distinguish due to their small size and similar traits.

His research, published in the Journal of Environmental Management in July 2024, found the technology highly effective in accurately predicting and distinguishing hybrid seeds, reducing subjectivity in seed testing.
