Introducing the Videometer SeedSorter: Your Seed Sorting Solution

This year has seen many new additions to our product portfolio. The latest, the Videometer SeedSorter is designed as an upgrade for the VideometerLab with Autofeeder.

The SeedSorter automates the sorting process of seeds or other granular products. Equipped with mechanical fingers, the SeedSorter sorts products into two distinct bins (A and B) based on their classification.

Powered by computer vision and AI, the system allows laboratory technicians to automate the sorting process, eliminating the need for manual labor. By saving time and reducing the burden of repetitive tasks, the SeedSorter enhances efficiency and precision in the laboratory.

Revolutionizing Seed Testing and Analysis with Spectral Imaging

Janek Bartel, a seed analyst at SGS, is revolutionizing seed testing by adopting advanced tools like multispectral imaging and MRI scans. With a passion for innovation, Bartel collaborates with Videometer engineers to enhance image analysis techniques for non-invasive seed testing, developing new classifiers and refining equipment capabilities.

His impact extends globally, contributing to international seed testing initiatives, leading ISTA's seedling imaging project, and playing a key role in bringing the ISTA Meeting to Canada in 2026. A lecturer and innovator, Bartel is bridging traditional expertise with emerging technologies to shape the future of seed testing.

Nematode Detection in Atlantic Cod with Spectral Imaging

Nematodes pose a significant challenge to the fish processing industry, with their detection being critical for ensuring seafood safety. While the industry largely relies on manual identification and removal, efforts are underway to develop automated solutions.

Through the TraceMyFish project, Videometer collaborated with leading institutions, including the University of Iceland, to advance detection methods. PhD student Andrea Rakel Sigurðardóttir conducted research using Videometer’s Spectral Imaging Technology to identify nematodes in Atlantic cod fillets.

This innovation promises to enhance quality control, improve process efficiency, and ensure safer seafood products.

Videometer Wins Børsen Gazelle Award

We are excited to announce that Videometer has been awarded the Børsen Gazelle Award, a recognition given to only 0.9% of Danish companies this year.

This honor highlights businesses that meet six key criteria, including:

• Positive growth in net revenue or gross profit for four consecutive years

• A minimum 100% growth over the entire period (a doubling)

This achievement is a testament to the trust of our partners and customers, as well as the hard work and commitment of our team. We are grateful for the continued support that has made this milestone possible and look forward to the future with excitement as we continue to innovate and grow.

Celebrating Videometer's 25-Year-Anniversary

In April this year, the Videometer team travelled to Greece to mark a significant milestone for the company: our 25-year-anniversary.

Over the course of four days, we engaged in many activities that reflect our spirit of collaboration. We had the pleasure of visiting our partners at the Agricultural University of Athens, visiting a local olive oil farm and participating in team-building activities, where we discussed activities for our Quality Management System.

We also took time to appreciate Greece's rich cultural heritage, exploring archeological sites such as the Parthenon and Mycenae.
