As we are approaching the end of the year, we'd like to thank you for being with us along the way in 2022. To all of our clients, partners and stakeholders, you played important roles in our development this year, sharing your knowledge and expertise on agriculture, food, pharma and more. Your input was highly cherished and valued at Videometer, and reminded us to keep our curiosity alive in every step of our processes.
2022 was a year of strong collaborations and partnerships. We look forward to what is to come in 2023.

2022 At a Glance

The last 12 months were filled with industry’s conferences and events. We started out the year with ANUGA FoodTech, where our representatives showcased the VideometerLab and VideometerLite instruments for quality, safety and authenticity inspection of food products. We were later present at IASIM, which brought key stakeholders from the spectral imaging community to collaborate and share know-how. In the Autumn, Videometer participated in a broad variety of events regarding seed testing: APSA's Seed Symposium, the Seed Meets Technology conference and the Dutch Seed Symposium, among others.

Last month, in November 2022, the ISTA Seed Symposium took place, where seed experts from around the world met to collaborate and innovate the industry further. Five of Videometer’s customers illustrated how they utilize spectral imaging for seed analysis and phenotyping. We believe that digital seed twins are the future of sustainable agriculture and we can aid the industry with our technology to develop digital seed databases.

12 Months Filled with Collaborations

This year the Videometer SeedLab was placed at the premises of CHAP Digital Phenotyping Lab. The system offers a state-of-the-art analysis of granular products that are automated by a pick-and-place robot. Samples are digitally classified and then physically sorted into specific containers.
The Videometer SeedLab has been assessed as a valuable addition to the imaging technology by CHAP with Faye McDiarmid, CHAP’s Research Assistant, praising it for its capabilities and the vast research opportunities it offers.

Being part of Responsible Research Innovation (RRI) projects allows us to constantly grow. Currently, we are part of four EU- or Innovation Fund Denmark - funded projects – DiTECT, TraceMyFish, EXCHEQUER, and AMUSE. We believe that these projects will aid the industry to improve food safety, quality, and authenticity.
2022 marked the return of travel, which meant we were able to visit our partners around the world in person. Meeting in person enhanced the idea generation processes for the future developments of the projects.

New Glimpses for 2023

Our team is constantly working on innovating our instruments and systems. We are excited to announce that the new year will bring a new version of the VideometerLab with Autofeeder, providing our customers with advanced solutions for the analysis of granular products. Furthermore, the VideometerLite will be now available to users who would like to have a portable instrument, that allows on-the-go measurements.

Videometer is collaborating with experts in the seed industry to provide a powerful solution for Genebank management. Our software enables users to create a digital copy of seeds that can be analyzed rapidly and accurately. This can be used for seed phenotyping, crop development, and improvement.

We believe in knowledge-sharing and collaborating with others. Hence, the Videometer Cloud Workspaces will be updated with publicly available models and recipes created and tested by Videometer experts. They will be ready to be utilized in the daily operations of our customers and will allow for data uniformity and structure.

Lastly, after the successful Webinar Series – Experts meet Experts, we are looking forward to meeting with you again with the Spring 2023 edition.
