Rapid and non-destructive determination of deoxynivalenol (DON) content in wheat

A new paper from a Chinese research team in Hefei combines VideometerLab images with chemometric methods and builds a model for detection of deoxynivalenol (DON) content in wheat. Mycotoxin levels in food and feed are of critical importance for human and animal health, and a rapid and non-destructive detection technique will provide a huge benefit. VideometerLab may pave the way towards accurate detection and quantification within seconds for certain crops.
